1.4162 / DIN X2CrMnNiN21-5-1 – LDX 2101 – UNS S32101
Stainless steel Duplex 1.4162 / X2CrMnNiN21-5-1 / LDX 2101 / UNS S32101 has a particularly good resistance to stress, cracks and various types of intercrystalline corrosion. Steel has good fracture toughness, strength, fatigue resistance, the use of smaller sections in production, ability to work at temperatures up to 600 ℃, and good weldability and machinability. Unfortunately, in cold working, Duplex 1.4162 steel requires a much higher strength than standard acid-resistant steel.
Duplex 1.4162 is used in acid-resistant steel, shipbuilding, petroleum, marine, fuel, nitrogen, chemical, aerospace, cryogenic, paper, energy and construction industries (mixers). It is used for steel devices (sewage treatment plants), screws, sleeves, shafts, aircraft parts, refrigerant parts, pipelines, heat exchangers, cisterns, structures and cargo tanks (chemical tankers), pressure tanks, oils and silos in contact with fuels.
