2.4061 / Alloy 205 / Nickel 205 is commercially pure wrought nickel. 2.4061 (99.0%) very similar to 2.4060 (99.0%), but with Ti and Mg additives to adjust the electrical properties of alloys. It can thus be used at higher temperatures and has resistance to embrittlement by intergranular precipitates at temperatures between 315 ° C and 750 ° C. Excellent resistance to many corrosion environments and ease of welding allows these materials to be used in many industries.
(W.Nr. 2.4066 / Alloy 205 / Nickel 205) - Can be melted with 99.7% nickel. The feature of 2.4061 is that it can withstand extreme operating conditions including stress and high temperature corrosion environments, making this material the most flexible for use in electrical appliances and other industries. Application areas are chemical and food industries, electrical parts and electronic components, aircraft gas turbines, nuclear energy systems, magneto-strictive probes.
