2.4617 / HASTELLOY B-2 – UNS N10065 – ASTM B 333 – ALLOY B 2 – NiMo 28

(UNS N10665 / W.Nr. 2.4617) is a solid solution reinforced nickel-molybdenum alloy typically used in extreme reduction conditions. It is a corrosion resistant alloy with a controlled minimum iron and chromium content. W.Nr. 2.4617 / Alloy B2 / Hastelloy B2 It shows excellent resistance to various organic acids and reducing agents. It also shows good resistance to hydrochloric acid in a wide range of concentrations and temperatures. W.Nr. 2.4617 / Alloy B 2 / Hastelloy B 2 alloy has good corrosion resistance due to stress. Due to its low carbon and silicon content (reducing carbide release in the heated areas of the weld seams) it shows sufficient resistance to corrosion even in a material-borne situation.

W.Nr. 2.4617 / Alloy B-2 / Hastelloy B-2 material is resistant to wide temperature range in hydrochloric acid, medium concentrated sulfuric acid and can be used in phosphoric and acetic acids. Optimal resistance properties can only be achieved with clean and metallic shiny material.

W.Nr. 2.4617 / Alloy B2 / Hastelloy B2 significantly reduces carbon, silicon and iron, making the alloy less susceptible to a reduction in corrosion resistance in the weld zone in the case of welding. It should not be used at temperatures between 1000 ° F and 1600 ° F, as it forms secondary phases that can reduce the ductility of the material.
