W.Nr. 2.4665 / Alloy X / Hastelloy X / Inconel HX / Alloy HX can be cold formed using slightly higher strength than that used for austenitic stainless steels.
For hot forming, the alloy must be heated to an initial temperature of 1175 ° C. It should not be operated hot below 980 ° C.
W.Nr. 2.4665 / Alloy X / Hastelloy X / Inconel HX / Alloy HX shall be machined in annealed or annealed condition with high speed steel tools and a large source of sulfur-free coolant. Tools and machinery should be as rigid as possible to minimize deflection and vibration.
