VAR^® A-286 / 1.4980 / Alloy A-286 / Incoloy A286, although it appears as a precipitation hardened stainless steel both in terms of the elements it contains and its proportions, it is actually a superalloy. Elements such as 1.4980 / Alloy A-286 / Incoloy A-286 molybdenum and titanium, which are basically composed of iron nickel and chromium alloys, make the material more resistant to corrosion and give the material an extra strength in terms of mechanics. The alloy, also called UNS S66286, shows good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance up to 700 ° C. It has better ductility and better tensile strength than various commercial alloys. 1.4980 / Alloy A-286 / Incoloy A-286 is widely used in low temperature processes that require high strength from room to cryogenic limits even below -196 ° C. This material, which is in the austenitic stainless steel group, preserves this austenitic structure under all conditions. It is not susceptible to weld cracking, therefore recommended for use in rocket engine components.

1.4980 / Alloy A-286 / Incoloy A286, which has good corrosion resistance, is frequently preferred in aviation and gas turbine blades. It is sought in aircraft components such as jet engine nacelles, afterburners, furnaces, sockets, casing, wings, wheels and frames. Alloys, which are also used in many fasteners, are widely used in vehicle engine parts, various special screws, vehicle manifold systems, parts where high temperatures and high forces are applied simultaneously, oil and natural gas platforms, superchargers and various components.
