W. Nr. 2.4964 / Alloy 25 / Haynes 25 / L-605 / Stellite 25 (UNS R30605) is the strongest of manufacturable cobalt alloys useful up to 982 ° C. Due to its long and widespread use, this alloy has been the subject of many studies to determine its properties over a wide variety of conditions, thus making it an unusually well-characterized material. W. Nr. 2.4964 / Alloy 25 / Haynes 25 / L-605 / Stellite 25 shows a loss of room temperature ductility when exposed to intermediate temperatures for a long time, similar to other super alloys.

The material is welded using gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, shielded metal arc, electron beam and resistance welding. Submerged arc welding is not recommended. Good joint connection, minimum restriction, low interpass temperature are recommended and cool quickly after welding. W. Nr. 2.4964 / Alloy 25 / Haynes 25 / L-605 / Stellite 25 should be rapidly cooled and annealed at 1176-1232 ° C for maximum ductility.

It has exceptional high temperature resistance. It is resistant to oxidation up to 982 ° C. It is resistant to wear. W. Nr. 2.4964 / Alloy 25 / Haynes 25 / L-605 / Stellite 25 is resistant to marine environments, acids and body fluids.

Application places; Gas turbine engine components such as combustion chambers and afterburners, High temperature ball bearings and bearings, Springs, Heart valves, etc.
