1.4612
1.4612 is a very high purity precipitation hardened stainless steel. The vacuum primary was melted and the consumable electrodes were remelted. It has excellent mechanical properties in longitudinal and transverse directions. There is an excellent balance between strength and toughness properties. 1.4612 has excellent fatigue resistance. It has good resistance to corrosion and stress corrosion. This steel, which has very good weldability, should preferably be made with solution for welding. Post-weld aging allows both the base metal and the weld to be hardened.
The temperature of the aging process varies between 505 and 570 ° C depending on the level of mechanical properties required.
Usage areas; Mechanical parts, structural parts for aerospace industry, Missile components, Fasteners, High pressure pumps and valves, Offshore industry.
