MARAGING 300 / ALLOY 300 – UNS K93120 – 1.6358 – 1.6354
Alloy 300 / Maraging 300 is a low carbon, nickel-cobalt-molybdenum high temperature nickel alloy melted by vacuum induction and vacuum arc melted. This material can produce yield strengths in excess of 270 ksi (1862 MPa) by simple, low temperature heat treatment at 482 ° C (900 ° F). Alloy 300 / Maraging 300 (1.6358 - 1.6354) also exhibits good ductility at high strength levels, excellent notch ductility, and outstanding weldability.
Maraging 300 / Alloy 300 is essentially a non-carbon nickel / cobalt steel alloy, other alloying elements include moly, aluminum and titanium. This combination creates an extremely durable, relatively soft, high strength and toughness, very high tensile strength, resistant to corrosion and crack propagation, perfectly clean and polishable, easily weldable.
