VAR® 925 / INCOLOY 925 – ALLOY 925 – UNS N09925
VAR® 925 / Incoloy 925 / Alloy 925 is a precipitation hardening molybdenum and copper-added nickel-iron-chromium alloy. This high nickel alloy has excellent corrosion resistance by achieving high strength by precipitation hardening. VAR® 925 / Incoloy 925 / Alloy925, also called UNS N09925, has high resistance to general corrosion types, pitting, pitting corrosion. It is used in drilling and surface equipment used in oil production and exposed to acidic gas. In addition, the titanium and aluminum elements in VAR® 925 / Incoloy 925 / Alloy 925 provide greater mechanical strength during heat treatment. It is a costly material. It is preferred both where high mechanical strength is required and where excellent corrosion resistance is required. It is preferred in valves, special nipples and fasteners, screws and nuts, various marine applications, special shafts and glass industry.
