1.4310
1.4310 is a weaker version of 1.4301 that produces a metastatic austenitic structure that will harden very quickly when subjected to cold deformation, as a result of the combination of high chromium and limited nickel content. As this steel is used for the manufacture of spring components, the final microstructure will contain a significant amount of martensite due to shear and therefore will be relatively magnetic.
1.4310 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and malleability. This steel with an average machinability and mechanical properties has an excellent weldability.
Automotive industry, various corrosion resistant spring components, chemical industry, food and beverage industry and electronic equipment are the main application areas.
